Here is an excerpt from a paper.   We are going to make corrections.  Please leave a correct, edited response in the comments.

Gift of the magi and The necklace are similar in a lot of ways,  but they are also really different. Gift of the magi is about a  poor woman who cuts off almost all of her hair so she can get her husband a chain for his watch, little does Della (the women) know her husband sold his watch to get her some really nice and expensive combs. This is ironic because she cut off her hair and he got her combs and she got him a chain and he sold his watch for the combs.

the last sentence should not be a run-on, it should be cut into two sentences or have commas were the ands are.

  58. In the short story of ''gift of the magi'' there needs to be capitalization and quotations of the gift of the magi. In the short paragraph also be specific about the details in the story change it up. It also doesn't need to be in parenthesis. And needs a period at the end of some sentences. And on the 5th line capitalization in parenthesis of the woman not women it wouldn't make sense.

  59. In the passage above the mistake is at the end, (This is ironic because she cut off her hair and he got her combs and she got him a chain and he sold his watch for the combs.) ,because this is a run on sentence and it needs to be separated into different sentences. A way to correct it is ,(This is ironic because she cuts off her hair to buy her husband a chain for his watch that he sold for her combs.) Also another mistake is they forgot to capitalize the (N) in necklace. They could also make this its own sentence, and change (women) to (woman), (Little does Della (the woman) know her husband sold his watch to get her some really nice and expensive combs.) Overall you could add more detail about the story.
