ReplyDeletethe author might want to write a short story because they don't have enough information for a novel. i might write one because my teacher might tell me to.
ReplyDeletenovels are longer stories than a short story, if they don't know what to say then they just write a short story and not a novel.
ReplyDeleteThe author might choose to write a short story over a naval essay or whatever. The reason for this is they might want to show the reader a quick lesson. So that the reader can learn on how they can improve their life instead of reading a naval which are good but short stories just get right to the point.

ReplyDeleteThe author would rather write a short story because they are not as long as novels. Also they would rather read it in one sitting, not more than one. Novels are over 10,000 words and short stories are either 10,000 or less. Authors would probably rather write short stories than long story novels.

ReplyDeleteThe reason of a short story is to tell a story on a topic. If they don't want to write a novel with a lot of pages, they can write a short story. They might not have a lot of details, so they can't use a novel in less they want to add random details in the novel. Short stories are better to write if you don't have a lot to talk about. In short stories you want to tell the main idea and fast.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion why i think the author would write a short story rather than a novel,story or essay is because it's less pages to write and it gets right to the point of the story draw it out and takes up less time.

They might want it straight to the point and not take a long time to get to the main idea. The author also might want to write a short story than an essay because essay needs facts and a short story can be made up.

ReplyDeleteA short story jumps in to the climax and entertain the reader. Not only people want to go to the climax instead of reading 200 pages to get to the exiting part of the story. People don't have time to read a large book and poem's and novels take time to read plus short story's are good for teaching others about theme etc.

ReplyDeleteA short story is a more diverse and enjoyable thing to get at. Short stories against other writing pieces are more focused on a plot and an adapt storyline. I would right a short story because to me, they seem to be a fun task. Short stories can go anywhere they want, anything you feel or need to write about can be shown in a story, That is real writing to me.

People would much rather spend their time reading a short story that is just as entertaining than a novel because some people dont have the time to read an entire novel.

If they write a short story as entertainment for kids then they would catch a kid's attention much faster than what you would with a novel. Also, they would like to leave the reader wondering because there could be many ways the author could end it but decides to let the reader wonder how it ends. Now, I would write a short story instead of a novel to entertain kids and to get people interested much faster than what a novel would. Along with that it would probably easier to write a short story because it doesn't require so much thinking.
ReplyDeleteMost people will write a short story because it has a jump start to main idea of the story. Most of the time a short story is a fable so it is read by more people like kids so it is better for them being a short story then being a novel because they can read it faster.

Short stories don't tell you every detail of every little thing, they just say what is needed to understand the story. Not all people like really long stories either so some authors take that into consideration. Some authors might not want to go through explaining every little detail either. Short stories are good for teaching lessons also.

It might have more readers than a novel. I could cut straight to the point instead of going all around the main point.

Or they could have a idea for a book or novel and they just need to show someone the idea they have for it so that person can have it published. Of they can just be writing for fun just something that they enjoy doing. But they just don't want to take it to the next level of a book.

When becoming the author of an item of literature you have to start by the basics and decide what kind of piece you are going to write. In any case a short story would seem admirable because of the short amount of information you have to publish. But, it may not always be beneficial to the reader and or author. Sometimes in a longer book such as a novel it allows the speaker to explain more about the characters, plot, etc. But writing a short story could be beneficial. It could help in the sense that you don't have to make extra room to fill up over the 10,000 word mark. Because just using words to fill in space could make the story boring. Another reason why it could be beneficial is in the sense of writing a childrens book for example. You could make it kid friendly and short, this would be helpful to young readers that can read but not to novel proficiency.
ReplyDeleteI think that an author would write a short story instead of a novel- long story because some people like to entertain their self and the reader. Also it is easy because it is quick to write. Not everybody wants to read a long book, so that why they read a short story.
