Scholar Start: Make a copy of ACT 2 SCENE 2 Romeo and Juliet. Make a copy. You will be annotating this when we read it in class. The side we will be reading along with is on the left. The right is a "translation" in case you can't tell what's going on because of the language. Once you've made a copy, please pull up the 12/2 document and finish your graphic organizer from yesterday.

Scholar Start: Look at the notes you took today on your Annotated ACT 2 document. Put the most important pieces of evidence and place them in the Graphic organizer we've been using. underneath the graphic organizer, and the additional writing from yesterday, please write a CLAIM as to if you think the title characters from this play are are in love.
Yes Romeo and Juliet are experiencing true love because for them to be together they had to kill themselves, they both love each other, and they would have done whatever they could to stay together.

DeleteRomeo and Juliet were in true love. Romeo was willing to do what ever it takes to be with her and the same for Juliet. They had a plan to be with each other, but their families have a long hatred for one another. Juliet would fake her death the night before she got married to someone else. Then they took her to her tomb so she can wake up in 48 hours. They tried to inform Romeo, but couldn't so he went to her tomb and opened it and then he took a bottle of poison and he lie across her chest. When she awoken she was in tears so she tried to kiss him to get some poison but it didn't work so she took Romeo's dagger and stabbed herself with it. They laid there not moving dead. These two showed they had true love for one another, no matter the costs they wanted to be together. They were willing to give up their lives just to be with each other.

DeleteTrue love does exist, but i do not believe that Romio an Juliet are experiencing true love because i don't think love at first sight trully exist.
ReplyDeleteI see your point, but try to reword your sentence to make it seem argutive and not an opinion. There also needs to be more detail, but if these were included then this would have been fine
Deleteromeo and Juliet are experiencing real love because, i don't think he would go through what he did and kill his self unless he really does love her and she must feel the same way he does because she and him both were going against there families, also she killed her self too when she seen that he was dead.
ReplyDeleteYes, Romeo and Juliet are experiencing true love because for them to be together they killed themselves just to be with each other, they loved each other very much, & when Romeo first met Juliet he instantly fell in love with her.

ReplyDeleteYes Romeo is having a true love experience with Juliet because Juliet faked her death and when Romeo found out about it he said he was going to kill his self. He went to where she was dead at kissed her drank the poison then kissed her again and dies on her chest, then she got up and tried to wake him up and then she stabbed her self with the dagger just so they could be together.
